History

Produced from 1962 to 1980, it is the one that brilliantly replaced its big sister the MG A. This little English myth was available as a coupe and roadster. It had 4 versions from the famous MK I with its pool handle to the MK IV with its bumper. The MG B was very successful on the other side of the Atlantic and also in competition in the hands of gentlemen-drivers.

The English car is equipped with a 4 cylinder in-line 1,8L engine with 5 bearings, more robust. The car with its solid and pleasant mechanics, also offers an intuitive and pleasant driving experience thanks to its torque of 15,2 Mkg at 3000 RPM, its 4 speed synchronized gearbox with overdrive and its 170 km /h top speed.
With its straight lines, it has a timeless look and an inimitable style that makes it one of the most desired collector cars.

The model we offer is an authentic MG B MK II marketed in 1969 in the United States.

It arrived in France after passing through Belgium, where its owner acquired it. In 2020, it benefited from an exterior and mechanical refresh at Brittany Classic Cars. Everything has been restored / overhauled and renewed, including the engine, gearbox, brakes, and wiring harness. A photo report and invoices of this extensive restoration are present.

The car has less than 15,000 original miles which equates to 24,000kms. It is equipped with the famous 1.8L engine, and mounted in the 5-bearing configuration. The original carburetion is provided by the two English SU carburetors.
This MGB roadster is in superb condition, showing chrome and fitted paint. It is in Mineral Blue, a rather rare colour, combined with a black leatherette interior and black carpeting. Furthermore, the chrome wire wheels, black soft top and beech steering wheel give it a strong look. The dashboard and windscreen wipers are elements that characterise the car’s American origin.
