History
If the name “Ferrari 250” rings a bell, it is because it is associated with a large number of victories in the most prestigious races of its time such as the 24 hours of Le Mans, the Targa Florio or the Mille Miglia with in particular the Ferrari 250 GTO which is currently considered as a work of art but especially as the most expensive car in the world.
However, although criticised when it first came onto the market, the Ferrari 250 GTE was the forerunner of the 2+2 GTs at Ferrari by installing 4 seats on board its vehicle. Very quickly it became a great success and the 250 GTE became the best selling Ferrari of its time with 950 units sold.
The example presented here dates from 1964 and has only 16,839 kilometres on the clock!
