History

Between 1959 and 1967, the English firm Austin Healey decided to produce the 3000 model, known for its beautiful lines, its charm but also for its success in rallying in the most prestigious races such as the “Tour de France automobile”, the “Coupe des Alpes” or the mythical “24 Heures du Mans”.

In October 1963, the MKIII version was unveiled with the appearance of a more powerful engine offering 148 horsepower with a new camshaft, twin “SU HD8” carburettors and a new exhaust system design.

The model presented here, produced in June 1967, has been entirely restored in 2018 during two years after its import from the USA by its current owner who has done more than 50 000 Euros of work on this vehicle to give it a “competition” look. Reworked from every angle, chassis, paint, bodywork, upholstery, engine (matching number) this 3000 MKIII will also stand out with its astonishing set of invoices but above all with its file of nearly 300 photos following all the stages of its restoration.

It is certain that with its perfect colour harmony, its sublime lines and the purr of its beautiful engine, this incredible BJ8 is made for you!
